1.1 This test method covers the determination of zinc in ores, concentrates, and related materials having chemical composition within the following limits:

| Cadmium | 0.1 to 8.0 |
| Arsenic | 0.01 to 1.0 |
| Antimony | 0.01 to 0.005 |
| Bismuth | 0.001 to 0.1 |
| Cobalt | 0.1 to 0.5 |
| Nickel | 0.3 to 3.0 |
| Silver | 0.00 to 150 oz/ton |
| Gold | 0.00 to 1.0 oz/ton |
