Description
Because it is difficult and costly to achieve all conditions required for a true scientific experiment, water conservation planners often seek alternative evaluation methodologies that provide valid and meaningful answers to the questions of “are we saving water? ” or “how much water have we saved?”. This paper provides an overview of alternative evaluation procedures and research designs and offers examples of matching evaluation procedures to particular programs, in ways that consider the practical circumstances and demands that commonly face water conservation practitioners. Includes 3 references, tables, figures.
