This powerpoint presentation begins by presenting a brief overview of the LT2ESWTR as a regulatory driver: concerned with uncoveredfinished water reservoir provisions;separate from “Toolbox”;”Inactivation and/or Removal”; and,enabling technology – UV. Process options are presented, along withphysical setting,system hydraulics,water quality,equipment pre-selection, andfacility design. Presentation conclusions indicate the following:UV/Cl2/NH2Cl system received conditionalapproval;health official(s) input attechnology/approach screening, validationworkshop, 30%, 60%, and 90% design;system sized for future flow and waterquality challenges;successful pre-selection;project going to bid in late-2008; and,construction and start-up in 2009.
