Description
This paper describes WESTPAC gas and water utility’s use of computers in four areas: total utility maintenance management, spreadsheet, filter control system, and supervisory control and data acquisition. Four tips for implementing use of computers are offered: make them user friendly, provide training, be prepared to make changes to the system, and identify who will be responsible for making the system work.
