This slide presentation outlines information on a study to determine the impact of an integratedbioreactor process and an immersedmembrane system on specific water qualityparameters and membrane fouling of a waterwith a high humic acid content. The significance of the research included: characterizing the appropriate bioreactor andimmersed membrane configuration undervarying synthetic water conditions; increasing biostability of treated water bydecreasing total organic carbon content; and, increasing fundamental understanding of foulingmechanisms on immersed membrane system.
