Description
This slide presentation outlines Underwriter’s Laboratories’ emergency response program plan (ERPP) which is an analytical service for public water systems or other industries in which water quality may be compromised either intentionally or unintentionally. The ERPP’s design includes: a rapid turn around time withverbal results within 6 hrs after receipt andwritten reports within 3-5 days (sooner if email); broad spectrum contaminants- if advanced warning, some methods can be set up to run QC before early warning system (EWS) (such as tunes,CCC, etc.);based on US Environmental Protection Agency’s (USEPA) Response Protocol Toolbox includingModule 3 (Site Characterization and Sampling Guide) and Module 4 (Analytical Guide);Legally Defensible Data includingInternal and External Chain of Custodies,complete raw data packages, and peer reviewed of all results. Topics covered include: ERPP process flow; ERPP analytical scope; and, three projects that have used the ERPP. Includes 6 references.
